cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pass the song around the workplace so in going along with my previous entry, i've started playing a new game at work to amuse myself. the game is this. pick a song, any song. the cheesier the better. and hum the chorus or sing a line from it while you're working. then at the end of your shift, see who else is singing it. a restaurant is the perfect place for this. in the kitchen, people are running around and never in the same place for more than a few seconds at a time. so while you're putting dirty dishes in the sink next to the new cute boy, just sing a little ditty to yourself. half an hour later, you'll pass him and he'll be singing the song and have NO idea why. earlier in the week the song was "you make me feel like dancing" and i had 4 out of 6 people singing it at the end of the shift. it was so great. the best part about it is i had this total indie rock boy in a promising local band (tee hee) singing in falsetto voice, "you make me feel like dancin', i wanna dance the night away." (this is a variation of the game my friend allenson and i used to play in geometry in high school. the game then was 'pass the yawn around the room.' yawns are contagious. we would yawn and see how many people would do it without even knowing. it was like a chain reaction. we eventually got into trouble for it. damn geometry teachers.) 2:55 am - 04 may 2003 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
