cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- yeah yeah fuck YEAH i spend a lot of time at rock shows. i'm a slave, it can't be helped. but for some reason, it has to be REALLY fantastic for me to talk it up like i'm about to. i've been to at least 6 shows in the past two weeks but the yeah yeah yeahs last night at emo's blew me away. i don't know, i was just mesmerized by karen o. she had the crowd (it was packed) in the palm of her hand. she ran around and danced and flirted and put everything she had into that performance. she screamed and sang real soft and then screamed again. she would put the entire microphone in her mouth so she would have her hands free to give it her all and she would just scream until she was on the ground. it sounds crazy but it was amazing. my friend randy said that her presence on stage reminded him of ozzy at times. but when it came down to it, she had the entire crowd dancing and jumping with fists in air. seriously, go see them if you get the chance. i can't stop listening to "black tongue" by them today. it was so good live. 10:53 pm - 17 november 2003 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
