i love ____ this week.
so if you know me in real life, you know that i�m always saying, �i�ve been obsessed with _____ lately.�
fill in the blank with something new every couple of days.
so from time to time i�m going to let you know what i�ve been obsessed with.
this week.
- iron and wine. it started with their cover of the postal service�s �such great heights� but has evolved into a full on love for their sleepy songs.
- the song �boom swagger boom� by the murder city devils. there�s one part where the singer half growls half meows. hott.
- the brazilian movie �city of god.� stunning. bloody. beautiful. violent. sad. all with an amazing soundtrack of brazilian music that i must have.
- white mountain tofu no-egg salad. i'm not vegan. (although i love vanilla soy milk) i'm not even vegetarian. but i love this stuff. maybe it's because i'm too lazy to make real egg salad. but throw some of that on bread, sprinkle with some tony's and it's nice little quick sandwich.
- the polaroid photo booth at mugshots (the bar) downtown. it�s three dollars and instant and so much fun. i have a special place in my heart for photo booths. the one at amy�s on 6th and lamar is amazing with its old school black and white strip of photos. but this new fangled one is pretty awesome, too. i think it�s supposed to look more like a police mugshot (hence the name of the bar). lana and i took one last week but she has it. here�s one from wednesday night with meg and i.
if you're anywhere near the bar, i suggest going in for the cheap cheap drinks and a photo booth session. (don't let the name and location fool you, it's owned by the barfly's people. and you know you love that bar.)
p.s. i don't know what meg is doing in the third photo where i'm just cracking up. but michael pointed out that she kind of resembles chunk from goonies. hahaha. oh, that makes me happy.
**OH MAN. yimay totally one upped me with her japanese sticker machine story. damn.
