cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- don't eat the yellow snow. IT SNOWED!! i can't even contain my excitement. i had the most magical first snow experience. i went with a friend to a play in this amazing small theatre in harvard square. when we walked out, it had just started snowing and was starting to stick to the ground. everyone in the city was psyched. the pace slowed down. more people came outside to be in it. after closing down this super cool bar in the square, we went into harvard yard to check it out. it was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. the yard was covered in about 6 inches of snow and it had piled up on anything sitting still. the trees were covered, the statues, the buildings. it was amazing. there were people sliding down the stairs of the library on cafeteria trays. the harvard snowboarding club crammed snow onto the steps to make a rail and built up a ramp at the end for tricks. there were at least three snowmen hanging around. how fun to have this all in your front yard. i got into like three snowball fights. i want to have them all the time. your cheeks get all flushed and your hands are freezing afterwards. it's SO worth it. i already ate shit. it snowed all night and i went out in it first thing this morning. i stepped in a slushy area that looked ok, but i lost my balance and fell into an icy puddle. i was instantly soaked. i felt kind of stupid until i saw about three more people fall in a matter of 15 minutes. ha. it's starting to melt a little now. but we got at least 6 inches, maybe more. so it'll take a few days to go away completely. there's much more snow to come this winter. and i hope the novelty and excitement of it doesn't wear off too fast. i'm loving every minute of it right now. come play in the snow with me! 3:34 pm - 09 december 2001 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
