cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - first things first. thanks to the investigative skillz of my wonderful roommate, jesse, we now know that gael garcia is here in town filming a movie. keep your eyes peeled, people. also, i went to the schlitterbahn this past wednesday. we were so excited, talking it up for weeks. i have such great childhood memories of that place. my family used to go every summer and they would let me run wild. i knew what rides were worth it, about how long that line would take, even some of the lifeguards. i LOVED that place. but i haven't been in almost 10 years. it's SO not the same. there are now three parks connected by a tram that runs through the town. the newer parks have rides that are all named "raging" something or something "blaster" and the lines are long and it's HOT. we were miserable for most of the day. the original part of the park is still basically the same and once we got back there, we had a much better time. and i found that as i get older, some of the slides get scarier. i was screaming so loud on some of them, convinced i was going over the edge of the slide and onto the concrete. that part was amusing. but the bottom line? go tubing. you'll be much happier. 11:25 am - 06 august 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
