cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mmmmm, human burgers so i've submitted myself fully to the restaurant world for the time being. i start server training on tuesday and start waiting tables on my own the week after that. i'll still be keeping three of my host shifts and picking up a few shifts here and there working out in the garden shop that the restaurant has. i'm going to be there ALL the time. guess it's a good thing that i really like most of the other people that work there, because i will be spending too much time with them. but it'll be good. i'll work there for awhile, get some seniority, get to where i'm working all night shifts. then maybe the job market will be better and i can get a day job and still work a few nights waiting tables. this is my master plan. ha. on a totally different subject, i talked to lori in nyc last night and she told me about her new simpsons watch that she got at a burger king in manhattan. when you press the button, homer says, "mmmmmm, burger." it sounded JUST like the weird castle under siege pinball machine at the cambridgeport saloon in boston. it was right next to the dart boards and if you hit the button, it would say one of like four phrases. my favorite was a valley girl saying, "it's like totally medieval" but the other favorite was when a troll's voice says, "mmmmmm, human burgers." it grossed me out and made me laugh all at the same time. what more do you want from a pinball machine? 12:04 pm - 06 december 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
