cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- they wrote "good luck" in cursive 20 september 2002 - 11:45 am turns out, i DID get a sheet cake. a chocolate one with white icing that said "good luck" in pink icing. one of the nurses made it for me. they also gave me flowers. a beautiful arrangement of pink roses and lilies. AND a 30 dollar online gift certificate to amazon. rock! so, it seems that everyone was being weird to me all day because they didn't want me to know they were planning anything. it's like in the bad teen movie where the kid is bummed because everyone seems to have forgotten his birthday and pays no attention to him all day. even less than they normally do. and then when time is running out, and the day is almost over, they throw him a crazy surprise party and give him a gift with a big red bow. that's kind of like how it was. i took some polaroids at the party yesterday. here's some of my work peeps. then i came home and joanna and i played with more polariod film. alan brought home a box of about 48 rolls that were sitting around the liquor store. originally, we were bummed because we thought the film had gone bad, it was past the expiration date. but then we realized that it just didn't like to work in low light situations. but it works just fine outdoors. so, YEAH. now i have a whole box of expensive polaroid film all for free. since i have the scanner fired up, here are some photos from this week. jessica, stefan, and joanna after eating at christopher's in porter square. joanna and jasonin the T station all wet from the rain. christie and alan at christian's birthday bbq. my roommates rock. so, tonight is the extravaganza. and tomorrow i will be packing up hardcore. sunday i'm loading it into the trailer with the help of alan and dave. then i sleep on the couch for a few nights and head out on wednesday. i'll be back in austin by the next monday. it's weird to think about. 12:16 pm - 20 september 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
