cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i heart shiner. whew! busy weekend. not as busy as those of you seeing tons of rock at sxsw but still... went to charlie's on friday with gabe and leah. it's become a usual venue. drank too much whiskey and had a great time. saw the "death and dismemberment" show at the middle east on saturday. and oh my god, it was so good. (the middle east is a middle eastern restaurant/rock venue. a fantastic concept.) they sold out both nights and it was packed. stefan was disappointed at the lack of rocking out during death cab for cutie's set so at the break, we made a break for the front center to show 'em how it was done. and did we. the dismemberment plan was SO GOOD. they were loud and hularious and sang tons of the songs i love. and boy did we rock out. then today, sunday, i went to the st. patrick's day parade in southie with gabe and leah and gabe's sister, honor. like most parades, the people watching it were far more interesting than the actual parade, which consisted mostly of boston police officers and the bomb squad. but the cops were all putting back beers while walking down the parade route. you gotta love that. then leah and gabe and i hit a bar for a few beers in the name of st. patrick. and then i got to ride the T home alone, slightly drunk. that's always interesting. especially when you know half the people on it are drunk also. and at only 8:00 at night. and now i'm home and drinking one of the shiners that christie and alan brought me from their vacation in virginia beach. my roommates rock. i'm going to go upstairs and sleep now. 9:36 pm - 17 march 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
