i'll still write 2003 on everything until summer.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
new years eve wasn't quite what i expected this year. new years is usually MY holiday. this is where i shine, people. it's all about drinking and kissing and dancing and just general merriment with both friends and strangers.
but it wasn't in the cards for me this year. my girls came in town and we went to dinner the night before new years eve. turns out i got food poisoning. it was a horrible night.
i stayed on my couch all day the next day feeling like crap. rachel layed in the chair. we watched the entire fourth season of sex and the city. i'm talking all 18 episodes. we drifted in and out of sleep but never moved. it was actually really nice and much needed but i still felt like crap.
but i'm a trooper. i showered and went out to the gourds masquerade ball for new years. still scared to drink anything. i had one glass of champagne and one lone star. and a couple sips of watered down whiskey. i kissed my girls at midnight and was home back on my couch by 1:30 am.
not exactly the night i imagined.
but oh well, we can't have great new years celebrations EVERY year. i was still with my friends and that's what matters.
and i'm feeling much better now, thanks for asking.

update: turns out it WASN'T food poisoning. it's a damn stomach virus.
might want to stay away from me for a couple of days.
