cowbellz's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tejas means friendship howdy. back in texas. my dad and i rolled back in town this afternoon after spending about 4 1/2 days on the road. we went to graceland. have i told you how much i love elvis? i do. a lot. the drive was fairly uneventful. which is good compared to the drive up to boston where we had to keep changing trailers in random places across america. this time we didn't have any lights on the trailer, but we decided to just deal with it and not take it in. we were scared they would make us get a new trailer and we weren't down with that. so we just drove during the day and it was fine. so, yeah. it's weird to be back here in austin. it's like nothing has changed. but everything has changed. that's weird. my place is great (and will be even better when the a/c in my room is fixed) and melissa and i have been busy rearranging the living room and trying to figure out where to put my stuff. i already thought i lost my cat once, but it was a false alarm. she's just a really good hider. so now i get to start the job hunt. again. that part sucks. but melissa took me out for a welcome home dinner and margaritas at guero's. and i met jo and some of her friends at barfly's for a shiner or two. she called and said that the bar was having this special tonight where all girls who moved back to texas today got free drinks. can't pass that up. now i'm tired and have to go clean all the crap off my bed so i can sleep. i'm on this weird sleep schedule from the road trip. dad likes to get on the road by 7 am. so we were passing out by 10:00 every night. it's midnight now and i'm so sleepy. so, yay for being back in texas! i miss boston. but i'm glad to be here. 11:56 pm - 29 september 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
